Every summer, we report on an algae bloom in the Baltic. This year the bloom was intense in the second half of June. At the beginning of July, it began to spread northwards and weaken. Unfortunately, the sky over the Baltic was often cloudy in June.
We present Sentinel-2 images of the central Baltic Sea region between the island of Gotland and the Swedish county of Östergötland (26 June, Figure 1), a Sentinel-3 image of the same area on the next day (27 June, Figure 3) and a Sentinel-2 image of the eastern Sea region, the Gulf of Finland, between Estonia and Finland (27 June, Figure 2).
